TCU is launching a strategically redeveloped homepage, marking the most significant change to TCU’s digital “front door” in more than six
years.
Re-imagining tcu.edu has been in process for more than a year, and programming work started late last summer. The project stemmed from the need to modernize TCU’s digital presence to improve overall user experience and to better appeal to prospective students and other key audiences.
In addition to a fresh design that prominently features TCU’s distinctive “Lead On”
branding, the new homepage incorporates an updated, mobile-friendly menu that makes
it easier to navigate across mobile and desktop devices.
The Division of Marketing & Communication intentionally crafted the homepage’s design
and content based on a careful analysis of existing website analytics, as well as
user and industry research provided by SimpsonScarborough, a leading higher education
marketing and branding agency.
Messaging about TCU’s academic excellence and approach to empowered leadership takes
center stage on the refreshed homepage, and audiences will find more video content
throughout, including the site header and “Frogs Firsthand” video testimonials featuring
current students.
Prominent calls to action like “Visit,” “Apply,” “Request Info” and “Give” follow
users throughout the page, encouraging them to engage with the site and TCU. Incorporating
the calls to action will not only improve the user experience for site visitors but
will also provide ways to better track the success of the new homepage in supporting
institutional goals.
The homepage redevelopment comes as TCU continues to strengthen its position as a
leading academic institution with the launch of a new strategic plan, LEAD ON®: Values in Action.
