Area of Focus

Women, gender, ethnicity, and class in the Gilded Age and Progressive Era

Description of Research

My focus of study is on the Midwest of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era, particularly women, gender, ethnicity,  and class. Much of my study has been on women’s participation in war work during World War I and pushing suffrage as a war measure. From here, I am expanding to include women’s organizations in Texas, specifically the Pan American Round Tables of Texas and its attempt to establish a Pan American friendship throughout the Western Hemisphere.
