Sharmeen Jariullah

Sharmeen Jariullah is a Visiting Lecturer in the Women and Gender Studies department at TCU. She specializes in media and culture studies with an emphasis on depictions of Muslim women, SWANASA diaspora communities, and transnational feminisms. Her digital humanities and multimedia project, Gray Matters the Blog, forms a connection between theory, pedagogy, and contemporary social matters. Sharmeen also works with individuals and brands in beauty and wellness spaces to decolonize beauty standards and create inclusive products and marketing.
