Saman Yaqoob is a new Ph.D. student this year. She is originally from the province of Punjab in Pakistan. After getting her Bachelor’s degree, she obtained her M.Sc. and M. Phil. from University of Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan. She pursued research in fixed point theory and coauthored a paper on nonlinear Picard operators that was published in the Journal of Inequalities and Applications. During the last 6 years, she taught Mathematics and Computer Science at the high school and undergrad levels. Since January 2022, she was a Lecturer in Mathematics at the Government Post Graduate College for Women Mandi Bahauddin. She writes, “I have a passion for food, travelling and I also like playing chess and Table Tennis. I am excited about learning about quaternions at TCU.”
