Master Sergeant Paul Curry, a native of Tucson, Arizona, graduated from AOT High School in 2007 and enlisted in the United States Army in June of that year. He completed Infantry One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Benning, Georgia.

MSG Curry's military career began at Fort Hood, Texas/ Fort Carson, Colorado, with Angle Company, 1/66th Infantry Regiment, deploying to Iraq in 2008 and Afghanistan in 2010. He then served as a Drill Sergeant with the 2-13th Training Battalion at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, followed by a deployment to Afghanistan in 2016 with the 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, Rakkasans as a Platoon Sergeant, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He deployed again to Afghanistan in 2018 with the 2-12 Infantry Regiment as a Platoon Sergeant at Fort Carson and was pivotal in establishing the 1st Battalion, 4th Security Force Assistance Brigade (SFAB), deploying to Afghanistan as a Team Sergeant in 2020.

MSG Curry’s last assignment was as a First Sergeant with the 2nd Battalion, 237th Infantry Regiment, "No Slack," at Fort Campbell, where he led his company on a deployment to Europe in 2023 to deter Russian aggression.

Throughout his career, MSG Curry has held various roles, including Squad Automatic Rifleman, Squad Designated Marksman, Team Leader, Squad Leader, Weapons Squad Leader, and Platoon Sergeant. His broadening assignments include SFAB Assistant Team Leader and Drill Sergeant. He has completed Ranger School and Air Assault School, earning induction into the prestigious Order of Saint Maurice, all of which have been instrumental in shaping him as a leader committed to mentoring and developing future military leaders.

In June 2024, MSG Curry joined the Texas Christian University (TCU) Army ROTC program as the Senior Military Science Instructor. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, strength training, shooting, hiking, and camping.
