Learning occurs in many different ways and is a different adventure for each student. Over the course of a college career, many students find that they develop their own “style” of learning through the process of trial and error. One of my primary goals as an instructor is to provide time and a variety of resources to students identify their most affective study methods. I also develop activities which promote discussion and clinical application of course material to help students develop confidence and critical thinking skills which will be applicable to future courses and careers. This will help them reinforce learning styles which are both affective and sustainable.
