SFC Michael Homer

Sergeant First Class Michael Homer was born in San Leandro, California and raised in St. Maries, Idaho. After graduating High School, he enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1997. He went to Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, Georgia, home of the Infantry and earned the title of Infantryman. SFC Homer has served in many positions in his time Driver, Assistant Gunner, Gunner, Squad Leader, Section Sergeant and Platoon Sergeant.

 He has served with HHC 2-8 Cav Ft Hood, Tx 1997-2000, 1-161 Washington National Guard 2000-2007, HHC 2-30 Inf Ft Polk, LA 2007- 2010, HHC 4-23 SBCT Ft Lewis, WA 2010-2013, HHC 1-24 SBCT (ARCTIC) Ft Wainwright, AK 2013-2016, HHC 1-5 Cav, A Troop 4-9 Cav and D TRP 5^th Cav (ACT) Ft Hood, TX. SFC Homer has deployed overseas to Iraq and Afghanistan on three different occasions. His first tour was in 2004-2005, second tour 2007-2009 Baghdad Iraq/Sader City Iraq and third tour 2012-2013 Maywand district in Afghanistan and has completed 3 rotations one to Korea and two to Europe. He joined the TCU Army ROTC team in June 2024 as a Military Science Instructor.
