Evy’an Osborne

I am Evy’an Osborne but respond to Renee. I am an incoming PhD student with a MA from University of Texas where my interest honed America’s southern writers. I earned a BA degree at University of California with an emphasis in Black American & American south literature. My interest as a Rhetoric and Composition student includes rhetoric in grief narratives, how expressions translate visually in marginalized communities and collecting local Black American grief and grieving history. I enthusiastically taught college level and dual enrollment courses over a period of 13 years but look forward to doctoral studies even more enthusiastically. In addition to my journey in academia, I enjoy hand stitching, walks with my dogs, thrifting, or listening to people talk.
