Becky Taylor, Ph.D., was appointed to the TCU College of Education faculty in 1998 to begin the school counseling program, and from 2009-2016 she served as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies in the College of Education. Dr. Taylor taught special education for 11 years in her home town of Del Rio, Texas. In 1993, Dr. Taylor graduated from St. Mary’s University with her doctorate in Counseling and worked with high risk youth and their families at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio’s Department of Community Pediatrics. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Supervisor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, an approved family mediator, a certified school counselor and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. She has presented workshops and trainings in solution-focused therapy, resiliency and prevention of high risk behaviors at the local, national and international levels.
