Biography

I specialize in 19th-century British Literature, with research interests in unorthodox women writers, women and science, and recovery work. My dissertation works to recover the literary contributions and intellectual network of Catherine Crowe (1790 –1872), who wrote sensational detective fiction during the 1840s and 1850s.
