Dr. Molina is a dedicated school counselor, counselor educator, and program coordinator with over 17 years of experience in public education, committed to supporting children and families from low-income communities by promoting mental health, academic achievement, and overall student well-being. She specializes in strengthening teacher-student relationships and implementing evidence-based strategies—such as Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and mindfulness-based interventions—to foster safe, supportive learning environments for students facing economic challenges. 
 
Dr. Molina is passionate about preparing the next generation of mental health professionals—including school counselors, clinical mental health counseling students, and future counselor educators—to serve in under-resourced schools and communities. Through her teaching, supervision, and mentoring, she equips these emerging professionals with the skills and insight necessary to provide effective, compassionate care to children, adolescents, and families.
 
In 2023, she was honored with the College of Education and Psychology Faculty Research Award, recognizing her outstanding contributions to research and academia in her field. In 2024, she received the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (SACES) Pre-Tenure Counselor Educator Award, which celebrates early career faculty who demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, and service within counselor education. This national recognition highlights her growing influence and leadership in the field.
