Chris Manno

Chris Manno received his PhD in English from TCU in 2013 in Victorian studies. His publications include the literary fiction novels Blood and Remembrance (runner up, Best Fiction 2020) and Voodoo Rush (Best Fiction 2018), plus the non-fiction An Airline Pilot's Life (Best Non-Fiction 2020), an Amazon #1 New Release for ten consecutive months with over 2 million Kindle page downloads. While attending grad school, he was a career pilot, first in the USAF, then through 35 years as an American Airlines pilot, 29 as captain and instructor/evaluator, while also adjuncting at TCU in ENGL 10803 and 20803. He is also a freelance cartoonist whose award-winning work appears in periodicals, books, and on digital platforms worldwide. His latest anthology, Cartoon Refuge, was named a #1 New Release by Amazon in July 2024.
