Areas of Focus

The research focus in our group is on the development, fabrication, and study of electrode interfaces capable of capturing and converting solar energy to a stored form. This research involves the synthesis and preparation of light absorbing, catalytic, and semiconducting materials and the integration of these components to establish functional surfaces. Electrochemical, photoelectrochemical, and spectroscopic studies play a central role in this effort with an emphasis on understanding the stability and catalytic activity of the interface.
