Special Admission Requirements


  • A minimum overall and science GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Prerequisite coursework completed within the last seven years.
  • Completed bachelor’s degree in any major from an accredited U.S. college or university before the program start date.
  • CASPA application submitted by the cycle deadline.
  • A required interview to provide a well-rounded picture of you as an applicant.

  • Our innovative curriculum helps you learn effectively and supports your well-being. The presentation and timing of topics covered in eight-week courses are scheduled to optimize the neurobiology behind learning.
  • You’ll receive personalized support through a Mentoring, Engagement and Development (MED) group with a 5:1 student-to-faculty ratio.
  • You’ll build confidence by applying that you learn through hands-on experiences — including case-based learning, weekly physical examination labs, simulation and problem-based learning and early clinical experiences during your pre-clinical year.
  • You’ll use virtual and augmented reality and software to strengthen your clinical knowledge and decision making.
  • The academic schedule includes assessments to gauge your understanding of the material, and no new material is presented less than five days before a final assessment. There are no lectures during final assessment weeks.
  • Your pre-clinical year includes two spring breaks and one summer break in addition to TCU-approved holidays.

Career Prospects


Upon successful completion of this program, graduates will be able to practice in hospitals, medical offices, community health centers, nursing homes, retail clinics, educational facilities, workplace clinics and correctional institutions.
