Data Science
Master the scientific method to put massive data sets to work.
There is not a single industry today that does not depend on data.
Data science has become the new fuel for industries, academia, and governments: from e-commerce to banking and finance, manufacturing and energy to health care and transportation, national security to space exploration.
As a data science major, you’ll have opportunities to learn the necessary knowledge, methodologies, and state of the art skills to tackle real-world data analysis problems.

Our Faculty
We prepare students to become lifelong learners and responsible practitioners of data science in the rapidly changing world of technology. Meet our computer science faculty and mathematics faculty.
What Sets Us Apart
Our Bachelor of Science program is administered jointly by TCU’s computer science
and mathematics departments. We prepare our students with solid foundations in both
computer science and mathematics, two important pillars supporting data science.
Our curriculum is designed and continually updated through engagement with leading
industry experts. Students get real-world experience as part of a team on a year-long
project-oriented capstone course — creating a portfolio-worthy solution for an actual
client.
