The summer 2024 edition of TCU Magazine is now live, and it dives head-first into the topic of social media.
“TCU's social media team’s national recognition — ranked No. 3 among U.S. colleges — sparks a deeper conversation. Social media, once considered frivolous self-expression, has morphed into a powerful tool with academic applications across marketing, strategic communication and even anthropology,” said editor Caroline Collier. “Our associate editor, Laura Meyn, delves into this phenomenon in the cover story about social-technological connection, exploring how students are leveraging social media to become entrepreneurs and perhaps future executives.”
The summer issue also revisits the remarkable journey of Bob Schieffer ’59, honorary trustee and former news anchor, who has traded nightly broadcasts for a provocative world of oil painting.
For sports enthusiasts, the magazine includes an illustrated feature showcasing the newest members of the Big 12 Conference and exploring their rich athletic histories, traditions and achievements.
