TCU is gearing up for a celebration of generosity with the 11th annual TCU Gives Day. For 24 hours, from noon to noon, Oct. 8-9, TCU is inviting all to be a part of the giving challenge, which aims to bring together 2,024 donors who are passionate about supporting our Horned Frog community.

“Whether donors choose to contribute to scholarships, academic programs or any area of the university that’s close to their heart, every gift, big or small, will make a significant difference,” said Kristee Bell, assistant vice chancellor of development, loyalty giving. “The true magic of TCU Gives Day lies in our collective effort to create a larger impact for the greater good.”

This year, donor maps and leaderboards will showcase the areas and class years leading the charge, turning giving into a friendly global competition. Plus, with the addition of mobile payments via ApplePay and GooglePay, giving is easier than ever.

This year follows a successful TCU Gives Day from 2023:

  • An impressive 88% of the gifts were under $500, proving that every contribution counts.
  • TCU raised over $1.89 million, fueling important initiatives and supporting people and programs.
  • Most gifts were dedicated to enhancing student scholarships and various school, college or department funds, illustrating a shared commitment to educational excellence.

Donors can get involved even further by connecting with the latest updates and joining in the social media buzz by becoming a TCU social media ambassador. These voices and participation will help spread the word and inspire even more Horned Frogs to get involved.

Not sure which area to support? Advancement has created a brief, six-question quiz to learn what TCU Gives Day area might be the right fit.

“Let’s come together to make TCU Gives Day 2024 a celebration of philanthropy and community spirit like never before,” Bell said.
