As fall 2023 is underway, so is the continuing celebration of TCU’s 150th. New banners have been installed on the University Drive streetlamps and on the library in celebration of several TCU students and alumni who are leading on in multiple ways.

New banners on the Mary Couts Burnett Library feature Joe Winick, president of the Student Government Association, and Annie Cowden, president of the Graduate Student Senate.

New banners along University Drive through the center of campus feature several TCU alumni who were recently the subjects of a nationwide mural campaign. Featured are: Hollywood producer and wheelchair athlete Katherine Beattie ’08, Broadway performer John Devereaux ’12, pro basketball player and youth advocate Desmond Bane ’20 and four health professionals: Dr. McKenna Chalman ’19 (MD 23), Emma Joy ’21, Dr. Courtney Sullivan ’17 and Dr. Brandon Zsigray ’14.

“We were able to utilize the artwork from our cross-country murals and bring a version here for our own community to enjoy. Further, they’ve been adapted to a billboard series around the Metroplex,” said Kris Copeland, creative director. “Of course, each features the gradient coloring that we’ve used throughout our 150th campaign.”

Following Welcome Home signage, the streetlamp banners replace an earlier set that looked at Horned Frog leaders past and present.
