The Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at Texas Christian University’s inaugural class of medical students will mark several milestones during TCU’s Sesquicentennial.

Match Day: The class of 2023 will learn where they have been accepted into residency training programs on Match Day, which will be from 10 a.m. to noon March 17 at Amon G. Carter Stadium. The nationwide match process is a uniform system by which residency candidates and residency programs simultaneously “match” to fill post-graduate training positions.

Senior Lunch: Fourth-year medical students and medical school faculty will attend this invite-only event on May 11 at TCU. It will be a chance for the future physicians to gather together before graduation.

Hooding Ceremony: For the first time at TCU, medical doctoral candidates will be celebrated and hooded on stage May 12 at an invitation-only event. Faculty leaders place the doctoral hood over the head of the graduate, signifying their success in completing the program and welcoming them into the medical profession.

Commencement: At 9 a.m. on May 13, TCU will graduate is first class of medical students. As TCU celebrates its 150th year, all graduates will receive a commemorative diploma and gift. There are four weekend commencement ceremonies at Schollmaier Arena, and the medical school graduates walk at the first. All are welcome to attend.
