TCU quarterback Max Duggan was named one of four finalists for the Heisman Trophy,
the most prestigious award in college football.
Duggan has led the Horned Frogs to a 12-1 record, including the Big 12's first 9-0
conference mark since 2016, No. 3 ranking and their first College Football Playoff appearance. TCU will face No. 2 Michigan in the CFP Semifinal Vrbo Fiesta Bowl on Dec. 31.
Chancellor Victor J. Boschini, Jr. said there’s no one more deserving of a Heisman recognition than Max Duggan. He expressed his gratefulness to the committee for Duggan’s invitation to be recognized among the very best student-athletes in the country.
“He continues to show that his talent is fueled by heart, integrity and the type of leadership that becomes transformative for a team,” Boschini said. “Max is more than his stats – his hard work and humility have an outsized impact on his teammates, on TCU and even on college football. His excellence recognizes the diligence of his full team and epitomizes the role of a student-athlete. We couldn’t be prouder of him.”
The winner of the Heisman Trophy will be announced Dec. 10 in New York City.
