The TCU Horned Frogs will make their first College Football Playoff appearance when the team faces Michigan in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl on Dec. 31. TCU, with an undefeated regular season, was ranked third in the nation by the playoff selection committee.
The team is led by Big 12 Coach of the Year Sonny Dykes. He was joined in conference recognition by 21 football players who also received All-Big 12 honors.
Despite the loss of the conference championship game, the season was record-breaking both on and off the field.
TCU is the first team in Texas to appear in the College Football Playoff. The Vrbo Fiesta Bowl will mark the 35th bowl appearance in TCU's history. Read more from gofrogs.com.
