Allie Beth Allman ’62 was honored by the Dallas Business Journal with its Lifetime Achievement Award. The publication hosts its Women in Business Awards annually.
Allman, a member of the TCU Board of Trustees, is a real estate broker who eventually sold her company to Warren Buffet’s HomeServices of America.
A Dallas Business Journal article chronicled the recognition. Presenters such as former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman and Keith Conlon, president of Allie Beth Allman & Associates, told stories of her mentorship, friendship and leadership.
“The key to giving respect is being a good listener, and also having patience,” Allman said upon receiving the honor. “As the saying goes, the harder you work, the luckier you get. This is perhaps the most important key to success.”
