There’s something special about the Horned Frog community, and others are taking notice.

The Princeton Review’s Best Value Colleges for 2021 ranked TCU among the Top 5 in four categories: Best College Dorms (No. 4), Best Quality of Life (No. 4), Best Schools for Internships (Private Schools No. 4) and Best-Run Colleges  (No. 5).

“These data reveal that TCU excels in some of the most important criteria prospective students use in evaluating colleges,” Heath Einstein, dean of Admission, said. “TCU’s ability to create a community in which students meaningfully connect and effectively prepare for a lifetime of personal and professional success aids in the recruitment of future Horned Frogs.”

More than 650 colleges and universities were evaluated for this year’s listing of the nation’s top 200 institutions based on return on investment. ROI rating tallies considered more than 40 data points covering academic offerings, cost/financial aid, career placement services, graduation rates, student debt, and alumni salary levels and job satisfaction.

“The colleges that we designate as our ‘Best Values’ this year are truly a select group: They comprise only about 1.2% of the four-year undergraduate institutions in the U.S.,” said Rob Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review. “These exceptional schools differ in many ways, yet they are alike in that all offer outstanding academics and excellent career services. As important to today’s college applicants and their parents: These colleges have a comparatively low sticker price and/or generous financial aid offerings. We recommend and commend them highly for everything their administrators, faculties, staff and alumni are doing to educate their students and to guide them to post-college success.”

Selections for the Best Value Colleges for 2021 were based on data collected from fall 2019 through fall 2020 via administrator and student surveys by The Princeton Review and alumni career and salary statistics from PayScale.com.
