TCU Facilities is proud to participate in the inaugural Construction Inclusion Week being instituted across the country. The purpose of the week, which will be observed Oct. 18-22, is to identify ways to advance diversity, equity and inclusion in construction.
The effort was born from a consortium of companies and will provide daily content resources to participating organizations like TCU.
“TCU Facilities will send out the sponsored videos every day and encourage our teams to discuss the provided Toolbox Talks within departments,” said Brooke Ruesch, director of project management. “We are also coordinating with our construction partner, Linbeck, to schedule an event for our facilities staff and the construction workers during the week.”
Clint Thomas, director of asset management and technical services, credits Ruesch with bringing the effort to TCU.
“Brooke did a fine job presenting this idea to our executive leadership team,” he said. “They have received it well and will be supporting this effort as the construction emphasis relates to our facilities employees.”
Thomas described it as a grassroots effort, but with the backing of national companies. Learn more.
