TCU will honor December 2020 graduates with online festivities on their would-be December Commencement date, Dec. 19. The virtual celebration includes a Facebook Live event, digital party pack and social media highlights recapping their four years at TCU. December graduates are also invited to join all Class of 2020 grads for an in-person Commencement ceremony in May 2021, or any future ceremony (details below).*
“What you’ve achieved, under very unusual circumstances, is a reflection of your extraordinary grit and resilience,” Chancellor Victor J. Boschini, Jr. said. “2020 has been a memorable and exciting year for our graduates to navigate with its challenges and unrelenting change. Even though we won’t be in person for graduation this December, nothing can take away from what you’ve achieved by reaching one of the most momentous occasions in your lives.”

Graduates can also look for special messages of encouragement and congratulations from Chancellor Boschini, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Teresa Abi-Nader Dahlberg, and their deans and faculty members as the semester comes to a close – as well as Amon G. Carter Stadium aglow in purple light on the evening of Dec. 19. TCU’s Facebook page will also celebrate a “Class of 2020 Year In Review” with photos from the class posted throughout the week prior to Dec. 19.
