New safety guidelines and hours announced.

The Mary Couts Burnett Library is excited to open its doors and welcome Horned Frogs back to campus. The official reopening of the library is Monday, Aug. 10. To help Protect the Purple and keep students healthy, safe and connected, the library is implementing new guidelines:

  • Access to the library is via “card swipe” only – you must swipe your valid TCU ID card to enter.
  • Face coverings are required and physical distancing will be observed throughout the facility.
  • Access to specialty services such as Special Collections and the Fab Lab are available by appointment.
  • Plexiglass has been installed at help desks.
  • The Computer Lab will be open but only half of the computers will be available for in-person use to allow for physical distancing.
  • The capacity for general study spaces has been reduced for safety.

The Library explains the changes made for the fall semester in this video.
