COVID-19 Communications

Today we write to outline coming changes to our Health and Safety protocols. Earlier this month we announced our intention to host a fully in-person experience this Fall 2021 based on downward trending infection rates, strong vaccination rates, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance and admirable adherence to Protect the Purple protocols.

I am pleased to share that although we still have a way to go, we are making progress toward offering COVID-19 vaccinations to Texas Christian University students, faculty and staff who fall within current state and federal priority distribution guidelines and have made the choice to register for the vaccine through TCU.

Texas Christian University’s upcoming Spring Refresh (March 9 – 11, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) is intended to be an opportunity for students to take a short break from their daily academic routine to get some rest and relaxation. We encourage you to stay on campus, and are offering several safely distanced events during these three days.

We are aware of the State’s announcement today regarding face coverings. At this time, we have not issued any changes to our current COVID-19 safety protocols. We are assessing the potential impact to campus with public health officials, our medical team of advisors and University leadership.

Happy New Year! Your Texas Christian University family is looking forward to the spring semester and having our Horned Frogs back on campus in less than two weeks. Spring 2021 will look very much like fall 2020; we have continued to improve and implement our safety precautions to create a safe and enriching experience. Our community’s health and safety and our dedication to an exceptional academic experience remain our top priorities.
