Accelerating Institutional AI
Explore how AI is enhancing teaching, research and learning—empowering our community to innovate responsibly and shape a future that's driven by our mission.
Artificial Intelligence at TCU
From cutting-edge research to classroom innovation, student preparation and administrative efficiency, AI is transforming how our university community teaches, works and serves. Resources, updates, academic offerings and features on the ground-breaking work Horned Frogs are leading in AI can be found on this website.
Interim AI Usage Guidelines
To encourage responsible, ethical and effective use of AI technologies campuswide, interim guidelines have been established for all employees, regardless or role or department.
Exploring AI’s Role Across Campus
We're building toward a future where every Horned Frog has access to AI tools and training — not as optional technology, but as an essential part of teaching, research, learning and daily operations. Our commitment centers on three foundational pillars:

AI-Enabled Academic Success
Focus: Enhance teaching, deepen student understanding and integrate AI literacy into the
academic experience
Primary Users: Students, faculty, academic support units
Examples: Personalized learning assistance; AI-supported tutoring; generative-AI writing and
study tools; course innovations that build digital fluency
Goal: Prepare students for an AI-enabled world by empowering them to learn more effectively,
think creatively and engage with technology responsibly

Accelerating Discovery
Focus: Advance faculty and student scholarship by accelerating data analysis, modeling,
experimentation, and insight generation
Primary Users: Faculty researchers, graduate students, undergraduate research teams
Examples: High-performance computing; secure, domain-specific AI tools; pattern recognition
for large datasets; AI-enabled modeling and simulation
Goal: Enable researchers to explore new questions, expand the impact of their work, and
push the boundaries of knowledge with responsible, cutting-edge AI capabilities

Smarter, Faster Systems
Focus: Enable greater campus efficiency, service responsiveness and data-informed decision-making
across university systems
Primary Users: Administrative units, campus services, faculty, staff
Examples: Automated workflows; intelligent assistants and chatbots; predictive analytics; AI-supported
scheduling and resource optimization
Goal: Free employees to focus on high-impact work while strengthening the university’s
ability to serve its community
The fact that TCU's first major research investment is AI sends a clear message about our commitment to the future and to ensuring our faculty and students have the tools they need today to shape it.
